Exciting Initiatives at New Jersey Libraries
Senior Spaces at Old Bridge Public Library

Welcome to Senior Spaces!

Welcome to the Old Bridge Public Library’s “Senior Spaces” Project—our Library’s place for baby boomers, older adults and their families.  Our concept grew out of the need to develop a “transition center” which was identified as part of our Strategic Planning Process.  This “transition center” was to develop programs and services for recent active retirees that were interested in meaningful volunteer opportunities and those looking for second careers.  As we moved from concept to development we realized that we could do more to not only serve the “baby boomers” and go beyong this “transition center” but also to enhance and expand our already developing services to older adults.  Thus “Senior Spaces” was born; the first library in New Jersey to develop such a project.

We invite you to visit the Old Bridge Public Library when you are in the New Jersey area for a tour; explore this website for more information about the project; at www.oldbridgelibrary.org for current services and programs; and finally at  seniorspaces.blogspot.com for additional information.
